Hey, i've been working with UDK (Unreal Development Kit 3) for a while But the assets are very much lacking. Do anyone have any pointers to where to go if you want to beef up on UDK assets to work with? // toniQ |

Short of Turbosquid, not really. Textures are easier to obtain, but meshes can be difficult. Ultimately if you want to do something more radical, you have to model them yourself, or acquire someone to model for you. |

Googling for "free X texture" should often bring up plenty of results. Be sure to read the licensing terms. You will more often than not need to edit said textures. |

www.cgtextures.com is a good place for getting unprocessed textures. |

Learn to make materials, level designer! Photoshop, crazybump, and material nodes will be your best friend. |

Yeah i've kinda already learnt now to some extent. Mainly stealing pictures online and adding normal and bump map etc and scuffing them in UDK. Thx for the help. |

Well, there's a lot more to making materials. Many of the best water materials in the game have no actual textures associated with them. And learning cascade to make your own particle effects is a great way. Also, you can make nice meshes from intersected bsp if you're really hurting for them. Just keep in mind that bsp->mesh won't use subtraction brushes. |
