HereticUK	Howdy Y'all! I was just wondering if there are any tycoon-style games out there? I am a big fan of Railroad Tycoon 2 and 3 (and at times Sid Meier's Railroads) but I was wondering if there are any new games in the pipeline/games already released that may quench my thirst for ruthless business management

Raven67854	Have you ever played the Capitalism series? The long long awaited expansion for it is finally out. Pretty fun game. Apparently the AI is much improved but it's probably still not nearly as fun as having a bunch of friends to ruthlessly destroy. Enlight.com

HereticUK	Actually I haven't played it... Might give the demo a try (downloading now!). I'm waiting for Starship Corporation at the moment - really looking forward to that. There's also the game Automotion (I believe it's called) as well which is looking good. Are there any sandbox-like tycoon games like the two above that are out at the moment?

x3nu	I enjoy OpenTTD, old school style management. Based on the old Transport Tycoon Deluxe, but it's free.

HereticUK	Already tried OpenTTD and SimuTrans but I can't get SimuTrans to work properly anymore. With the new version it crashes upon trying to load a new map. Locomotion works alright but I'm fed up with the AI being really stupid.

SabreXT	There is alot, but it depends on what you define as a tycoon game. Evil Genius you manage a bond villain base. In Anno you manage a series of ports. Startopia (a favourite of mine) you manage a space station. Theme Hospital and Theme Park you manage a hospital and theme park respectfully. All of which are businesses in a sense, and yet not at the same time.

HereticUK	Theme Hospital is one of my favourite games of all time. Startopia... I've never heard of that before but it sounds interesting indeed! Might give that a go as well.

HereticUK	Smooth Operators? What's that? Also I was thinking about buying Capitalism 2 the other day, so I had a look at the pricing and game details. They are offering a bundle pack that includes Capitalism 2 and a preorder of Capitalism Labs. I decided that this was the bes option for me. However, I read something that made me stay my hand - apparently buying Capitalism Labs means you get all the features they provide upon release and any subsequent minor updates, but for major updates you have to spend more money. Can anyone confirm this? Is this true or have I read it incorrectly?
