Twitter feed on game page: yes or no? Thread

Sorry if this question has already been answered, or I'm in the wrong forums. Also forgive me my horrendous English. It's not my native language and I'm tired, it's midnight in my timezone.

But.. does it matter whether or not I add a twitter feed on my game's page?

Is it necessary for a game's success to use twitter?
I'm new in the dev scene so I don't know (though I have a few years of experience in Game Maker
If it's necessary, then what's the best way of using twitter? I mean, going too high-profile may make me seem like an attention beggart, but if I don't tweet enough, people won't notice me. So what do I do?

Any suggestions?

It is not necessary it is just an optional feature that may pay off and it may allow you to network with other people too. In general, Social Networks are interesting additions but again it doesn't mean that if you don't use them nobody will notice you. Advertising is complex and Social Networks are just a small part of it.
