Tuning MOD Thread

Hi there,

I hope i'm the first to think of something like this.

I'm thinking of a tuning mod, where you can tune cars in singleplayer or multiplayer.

In the singleplayer part you will choose a car and just tune it, put rims on it etc...

In the multiplayer part you will tune together with six other players, each player having multiple things to change to the car. For example you will have one player who will change the rims, the window color, the tires. Of course the other players have other things to change. For example: lights, spoilers, front bumper, rear bumper, side skirts, hood, roof scoop, neon under car, muffler tips, decals.
Also you get to choose wich engine you want to use.

I think this is a good idea.

If there are people who like to make a mod like this, please e-mail me or pm me, because i want to be involved in the making of a mod like this. I'm good at modelling so i would like to be moddelling things for this mod. I can't code, but a friend of mine can, and i think he will help me on this mod. I don't know wich engine is the best foor this mod, but i thought half-life or half-life 2.

I hope there are people who are interested.

...so it's a mod where you choose stuff to put on cars.... Am I missing something here?

Yeh it's something like that, it's making regular cars looking very nice
Like in Need for Speed Underground.
I think it would be cool if there will be a website where people can post a picture of there tuned car, and then other people can vote for the best, and nicest car.

That sounds like a lot of work for basically no gameplay. You would NEED to add racing to it for there to be any point in the game at all. So you could customize your car and then show everyone how much it owns their car. All that customizing would be a lot of work to mod though.

What a dull idea. You might as well just make a flash game :/

Yeh i was thinking of adding racing. But it certainly would be much work.
I still hope there are interested people to do this though.

Any sane person would have racing as the main idea and tuning as an extra to consider...

Go play the Dragracer flash game, its basically what you said with a racing feature added. Or play HLRally, it kinda has those features...
