Considering that the internet is just like space and is (apparently) constantly expanding. I'd say 50, Japanese Hi-Tech and State of the Art, Nano Storage Computers. Edit: Wolfram Alpha! Cannot help you in figuring it out. Edited by: Lucifer |

I concur, its actually more like a series of tubes. Obviously the only option we have is to prioritize internet traffic into tiers of importance ... this way internet companies can prioritize internet traffic as neccesary ... (ahhhh .... henley beat me to it) Sticky wrote:

One formatted 3.5 inch floppy disk. If the size of the internet is indeed 487 billion Gb ... thats about 692,622,222,223 floppys if you were to stack them in a pile, it would be 1,366,442.19977553 miles high or 2,199,075.55555556 Km Thats from here to the moon ... about 6 times over Edited by: Assaultman67 |

It's Now Needed.. AGAIN..!!! he should have never stopped to begin with xP nodoubt, first find out about map/model files and origins and co-ords are stored in assci, then how you make a megatex, and work out it would save space and time to render on map loads cos assci compresses better in zips and pk4s, aod just add the terrain in the file too and call it .megaterrain, kind of like .md5mesh, probaly end up with a 80mb file with the terrain included, and not use a 8mb .lwo or just a heightmap, either way you could have lower compressed megatextures, Edited by: p0rt -- quake 4 militia rCon 1.7 mod - repacked into pk4s with dds images => |
