I need a soda... No one mentioned beer... Just Ale and Cider and Lager.. =p Lager is a type of Beer, and Ale is Beer without Hops. (Unless the History Channel is wrong) -- Good, bad, I'm the guy with the Minigun, Chainsaw, and a big a** Cannon. Spread Firefox! Spreadfirefox.com |

![]() What is with that? Jack Daniel's Whiskey, Its awesome. Its delicious and I just want to stock up on it! Goes great on its own, or with a soft drink of your choice! I can rarely drink anything like Vodka, or Gin these days. Just thinking about either of them makes me cringe. |

Ive not posted here before.. but this one i think you all might enjoy.. I contracted some kind of flu over the past coupe weeks and havent been outdoors a whole lot.. this forced me to CLEAN!!! AHHHHHHHH!!! anyhow. i came across this car stereo in-dash tv deck that my younger brother had given me (it didnt close for him one day, so he kinda gave it a backhand lol) the open/close mechanism on it ws beyond repair, but the screen and everything still worked fine.. I have had this P-3 for a while also. mostly used as an emergency comp for when the internet gets the better of this thing.. i decided it was time for a mod.... The tower was more than big enough to shove the whole mountig bracket in. and luckily enouh the facia plastic was the exact width of the towers face plate Ijust had some cutting to do lol.. i used a set of green handled snips for everything lol... Everything seemed to fit just fine.. i wired it up to the 4 pin atx plug that was unused from the power supply to run power to the deck... After wrestling with speaker wire and some more cutting i mounted a set of 2.5 inch 40w 6ohm spkrs from a dept store home theatre system in the side panels and powered it up The computer itself is a celeron 800 with an Nvidia AGP 64 mb card with an RCA out (thanks to EoN, that was given to me to keep me playing freelancer while my main comp was down, ill never forget that dude ) i ran a splitter off the vid card itself so i could hook one directly to the back of the deck and leave one out to hook into another TV or RCA input for a larger view.. The speakers are hardwired right to the main car spkr lines on the deck.. the audio was hooked up using a plug i made out of a headphone cord and a set of rca cords to go from my SB16 to the rca in on the AUX line used for the Video... anyways.. thats my little contraption.. |

It looks like you had a few problems fitting it all back together ... you should use a dremel or something next time ... But fix the open/close mech ... that would make it cool Interesting idea though, especially if you could put an RCA plate on the back ... overall i think it needs more integration with the PC itself but i don't really know what to advise (car CD players are pretty standalone components if you don't consider speakers or amps ...) If i had a PC with a solid state hard drive and enough guts, id see if i use the case itself as a woofer box ... (although with all the vibrations ... id imagine that microfractures would form on the attachment side of the card or on the mobo itself Im going to make a guess that the black thing is the dodge bracket? am i right?
