The Hidden Power Thread

The Hidden Power will be a harcore hand-to-hand combat or melee based game which will be made for HL2. It's basically kung-fu and all the other fighting techniques there is all mixed up into 1 mod. Heres the story:

Long time ago, there was 2 people of different races, blacks and asians, which learnt a hidden power which is in everybody. It gives them superpower strength and speed. The 2 people trained followers of the new power, some perfected it, some didn't. The paths of the 2 races didn't cross before, until now...

Ok there will be the moves such as Wall running, slowmo (yet to have a name), mean kung-fu moves, turbo and there will be combos as well so you can pwn the enemy hard . The only weapons in the game will be pistols and there might be vehicles.

Develop your idea a bit more, then gather yourself a team. What will you be doing yourself?

I didn't know black people knew kung-fu.... I better watch it next time I get in a fight with one. They'd kick my ass.

Nice idea, but you need to make sure you've developed it a lot more and balance it out. Just having wall-running and slowmo (my god that has been overdone). Is it single player or multiplayer? What kind of fighting styles will there be (good luck trying to do this without someone who has plenty of knowledge in martial arts)? Just having blacks vs. asians would be kind of pointless, and you left white people out (lol).

You have a lot of work to do on developing the story (very much so), and convincing people why they should play your game. Those things you mentioned would just make people blow it off for some other game with martial arts. Convince me!

I've got lots of ideas, but i dun wanna give it out, in case someone might take it and say its theirs... . Wall-running and slowmo is the only things i could think of at that time, but there will be much more.

Also i've only got me and my friend so that means i still need a whole team. Any offers?
