Tsk tsk, with requirements such as that you'll scare everyone.Anyone with common sense knows not to rush their team members, especially since most have what people refer to as "lives". -- When there is no more room in Hell, the Dead will walk the Earth. chis wrote: |

How the hell are you going to know if I've put in 4 hours of work each day? Maybe I just say something took me four hours to do when it really took 10 minutes? |

Very true...I think mods do need some kind of leader that sets deadlines for the mod if its going to be a success. -- The smilie knows best. |

That in itself is pretty impossible to do. Unless you're close friends with your mod members (like they live down the street or whatever), then you're fine. However, when you live far away from each other, you can't control what's going to come up. You just hope your team is dedicated enough to stay focused on the project and see it all the way through, without letting other things get in the way too much. -- "He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster." |

I guess I'm lucky that my main mod collaborator is my brother. Other team members come and go, but we can always get each other working. -- Defeat in Detail 2 - Standalone RTS Game |

i understand your concerncs, but in our team we want to try to spend more time together. For example by building up a clan and play online together, so you get to know everyone better. If you already know that you want be able to spend 4 hours per week, which isn´t really that much, you probably do not have enough time to work on a mod. Thats no fixed number. Of course there are real live issues which can keep you from working on a mod, but if you can´t imagine to work that much for the mod, i dont see the point in hiring this person. Even if they are very talented they might not have the time to finish anything. |

on each of my photoshop pieces ill spend maybe 30 mins max on a wallpaper which means i'd make 8 wallpapers a week which is alot of work. I know you might think that time is the best way of measuring but its not, some workers prefer speed some prefer to take their time. You could have some people doing 3x their work. A better idea is to do it by due dates just like Car model - 1 week |

of course it depends on your skill and maybe i didn´t use the best words, to say what i actually want. I´m looking for dedicated ppl, because its no fun working with people that are not really interested in the modification.... how would you say that ???? |
