Super Sayain Evolution!? Thread

SSP|Evolution is short for SSP|E you might wonder what is SSP|E,SSP|E is a Half-Life 2 mod bassed on an JAP anime called Dragonball Z This game will start from Dragonball right though to Dragonball GT we are hoping to get the first version out in November 2006 we can not give to much info at this time since its still under DEV.

Im posting here becuse we need help with the mod its just started and its for Half-Life 2 like stated above i will need the follwoing staff

1. 3 SDK Coders
2. 3 Modlers
3. 3 Skinners
4. 2 Mappers
5. 2 Sprite Makers

there is no way in hell you can get 3 of any of those. mabey 1 each for most of those, but deff. not 3. good luck trying to compete with the other 694,957,703 DBZ mods.

Unfortunately, Most of people that play DBZ mods play Earth's Special FOrces, which I'm sure will be ported to HL2 eventually.

Ok dood 1st off if you try and Funimation hears about it? Get your legal rep ready. Don't believe they wouldn't try to sue you for Lic infringment ? goto Coolsurfin.com and ask some of the EX DBZ BfP Quake 3 mod that was going to be all the rage, till Funimation got hold of thier wangs and squeezed them hard enough to prove the point "Don't mess with us".

You can't believe that BFP story... look at ESF, it's 10 times as popular and they haven't herd a word from Funimation. I think BFP wanted to try something original but didn't want angry fans spamming their e-mail for a year.

yes because that would explain DBQ getting a C&D as well right? ESF is no threat to funimation because its such a shit game

Doesn't matter wether it's shit or not, all that matters to Funi is that it's popular. ESF is the most popular DBZ mod around. If BFP got shut down, then ESF would have to be shut down as well.

It just doesn't make sense.

Maybe no one has told Funimation about them yet? Thats possible.

If Funimation isn't aware of ESF, then they definitely haven't been keeping a tab on the modding community. You just have to visit the forum's Dragonball Z threads, and you can see ESF in almost all of them.

It may be that ESF just isn't *that* great of a threat. But if THIS SSP|Evolution does become pretty popular rest assured that They'll get a letter from Funimation's legal rep.

The mod become more threatening the more popular it gets. Funi isn't concerned with how good the game is, just with how many people that are playing it. Hell, there was a time when I remember ESF being one of THE most popular mods on ModDb. Now if Funi was going around killing all the really popular DBZ mods (Which I doubt) then ESF would've been gone years ago.

And this SSP|Evolution thing is just another DBZ Mod that's going to promise everything and give nothing, just like a hundred DBZ mods before it.

*Shrugs* I don't care anymore, this is just getting "lame".
