Well, we have the mains of a group, but would it be possible for 'sub-groups' as well?
just as an example(since its only one I can give at the moment);
GarrysMod Group(Main)
Sub-groups
|-Joker-Ice
|-BUILD.UBYU
The Sub-groups would basically be for servers in this case, and several other ways of using them.
This can help prevent people from creating another group of the same kind.
As well as giving the site more popularity in that area. :)

Yeah that'd be a great idea since then we can have sub groups for Texture Artists, Modelers and VA's. We should also be allowed to allocate multiple publishers to a single game since not just 1 publisher handles the distribution sometimes because it can be handled by other publishers based on location as well.

Yeah, the multi-publisher thing I spoke to Scott about a while ago, I ran into a bunch of troubles there. While its pretty powerful, the system right now isn't that flexible so its a tad annoying to do things like link two groups (for instance companies that have re-named, but had games distributed under their old name - ie Apogee and 3D Realms), and adding companies that are defunct is also a bit annoying. Hopefully its something that will come soon, I'd love to see it because you could do a hell of alot more with it.

I fail to see the point of groups for servers besides creating clutter and confusion.

eh, its a good idea, but I think it would get a tad crazy. already, theres is an ample amount of linkage one can do. Sub groups might just instead become confusing rather then helpful.

I agree. It'd be too bogged down. I think having ranks for the members instead might be far more beneficial. That way, each group has its own method of ordering its members (like within a mod group).

Not if you limit to the amount of sub-groups you're allowed to have, like you could have 5 Sub-Groups.
With the garrysmod section okay having them for servers may not be the best idea, but you could have other sections like.
-Comics
-Custom Models/skins
-Server Side Mod Discussion

and several other things like that, it would/may be a problem at first.
But you could have a drop down on the whole Sub-Group section so when someone views the group, it wont fill up the screen and thus lowers possibility for it to become confusing.

The ranks system is a better idea, as long as you could do some neat features like (email * texture artists) ect. :D since team management would be excelent.. no need to make a group but I would like to see multiple publishers.
