WE CURRENTLY HAVE ENOUGH 3D MODELLERS. WE WILL LET YOU KNOW WHENEVER WE NEED MORE! Is what we'd really like to have is some more coders and animators. If you know anyone who does these things, please let me know. Thanks. Still looking for animators and coders. :-) |

Look like we need animators and coders even more since we got more modellers. It will be really nice if anyone wants to join. Preferably more experienced. We can't guarantee that the work is little ;D Apart from that i think that we would really like to get some more texturers because just making models is not enough to put them ingame. There is already a lot of work made that is untextured. Also anything else will be helping a lot. Regards, Edited by: SharkYbg |

Sounds like a fun project! I'm a huge Star Wars fan, and I'd love to see this come together. How is the progress coming along? Hopefully some of the modellers can also texture - those skills tend to go hand in hand. Edited by: Xuras |

I could probably help to some degree as a composer, if that's what you mean by musician. I'm currently studying Music Composition at Ithaca College under the likes of Jorge Grossman and Dana Wilson, if either of those names ring a bell [I'm sure if you're a concert musician, you've heard of Dana Wilson at some point] with some additional things from the likes of Keren Rosenbaum, Jack Gale, Frank Ticheli, David Rakowski, and others. |

I have some questions, pertaining to the game. First of all, will there be a singleplayer campaign? Will it feature a customizable class like Elite and Renegade had, or will it be like Battlefront 2 with specific class archetypes? Will you be tweaking the aesthetics of play at all, or are you going to try to make it feel as much like the original game as possible? Will aircraft finally return to ground battles? What is the estimated amount of AI that can be included alongside players in a battle? Will hero units be returning, and if so, will they allow for multiple heroes in the same battle (also, if someone doesn't take a hero, will an AI version spawn? And afterward, can someone still choose to take over the role of hero? And will heroes like Kyle Katarn, Mara Jade, and Assaj Ventress finally get to have their turn?). What locals will we be seeing return besides Hoth (also, what are the chances of the map being made more like a battleground and less like a valley with two military bases, one on each side)? Will we finally see a return to Rhen Var? Perhaps fight inside a Droid Control Ship? Raxus Prime? The Unfinished Death Star - particularly the firing chamber that seemed ready made, at least on the Wii, for a level in Battlefront? Various areas of Coruscant that -aren't- the Jedi Temple? A Bespin level that lets us fly around? A full interior of a capital ship (maybe the Invisible Hand)? KotOR settings like Taris (in ruin or un-destroyed form)? A Tatooine level set in the Dune Sea? Also, will modes like Hunt (hopefully better balanced this time, bloody Jawas...), Capture the Flag, XL, Hero Assault, and Space Assault return? Also, could I suggest a Ground Assault as an additional mode? All you have to do is make maps with specific things like the capital ships, making a battlefield between two bases with the specific things that can be blown up if someone can get past the defenses. Limit the ammo count in the mode for anything explosive, set some auto turrets up, and make multiple routes of entry to each base. Rather straightforward. Oh, also please make the things actually matter. For instance, shield generators are obvious (in theory the generators could even cut off certain parts of a base when active), but how about things like an Armory that can be destroyed but lets people swap their class (or if you're going the customizable route -- swap weapons and skills) on the fly. If it's destroyed, they're stuck with what they last were playing as until someone repairs it. Same goes for a medical bay. If it blows up, I sure hope you weren't planning on getting a medical droid's help. Make a landing pad for air vehicles, a tank depot for ground vehicles, and very quickly battles will become like cold wars -- where everyone is stuck in a tense stand off trying to keep whatever they have left alive while the other team does the same. Inevitably someone's going to win but it'll be a well earned victory. -- You know who's not got Facebook or Twitter? This guy. |

Oh man, I would love to help coding with this! I am currently a senior in software engineering set to graduate in the spring. To be honest, I haven't looked at the Cryengine SDK at all, and I doubt my abilities right now as a 3D game coder (though I have fiddled with 2D a bit). Also, my computer I know will not run any cryengine stuff and I can only guarantee working on this project once I get my computer built this Christmas. But MAN, to work on a fan-made Battlefront successor!? Would be super cool! |

Do you have a forum/website/subreddit to talk about this ? I got tons of questions ! Keep on the good work ! Seriously you are working on what could potentially be on of the best FPS in the world free+star wars+cry engine+ stand alone. Fans need to have an official place to talk about it ! Since you want to release the Beta near Q4 of 2013 this means that more and more news will come out too ! Edited by: algue |

What a coincidence. I just started working on a Hoth Assault based game in CryEngine a couple months ago. Now I'm not sure if I should continue with it or not. I was going to focus on Hoth solely and make it a multiplayer game similar to the old Air Warrior series where you would queue up in the hangars and form squadrons before take off. A Battlefront based game does seem interesting. I'm actually quite excited that there's other people interested in making this in CryEngine. Looks great so far. |

My soundcloud with some of my work is at Soundcloud.com I also compose some small time stuff with similar sounds to Hans Zimmer, John Williams. I'd be glad to help out with anything sound or music related. I'm blown away. This stuff is really impressive. You've got a range and tone similar to Troy Baker. -- You know who's not got Facebook or Twitter? This guy. |

This sounds really sweet. BattleCry is an awesome name for a star wars battlefront mod, especially because its with CryEngine. Right now Its my favorite engine to use. I love everything Star Wars related and would love to work on this one. I am an Environment Artist specializing in buildings, props, vehicles, terrain and I know a little programming also, but would rather make environments instead. I know all the major 3D packages Maya, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, and all the master adobe suites, sculpting in zbrush, mudbox, and I know Cryengine 3 well. Truthfully, I have a variety of skills and art styles, but I would like to get more into terrain and mapping out/designing environments like a level designer would. I would like to apply for a mapping position. I have a portfolio website at www.BrandonVolpe.com where you to check out my work. The first project you will proubly see on there is called CryCity was inspired by one of my favorite games, SimCity. I made all the assets and did everything in CryCity including the cinematography. I have been working hard making games for about 2 years now and would love to be a part of this amazing mod with you guys. -- Brandon Volpe |

I can't contribute a lot to this project but I have plenty of experience from designing levels for Battlefront 2. If you guys want, I could make some layout concepts for you to use. I have some images on my profile from previous maps I made back in the day, and my skills have improved since. -- You know who's not got Facebook or Twitter? This guy. |
