Players are split into two opposing teams (represented by different factions) with a goal to gather a certain amount of resources. The first side to successfully gather those resources wins. Players can choose from four classes each offering a few playable characters with different sets of weapons and abilities. Characters are designed to work in synergy and their survivability varies greatly. Different character setups also offer many strategic possibilities to win the game. Each team has one Overseer that views the battlefield like you would in a real time strategy game (think Starcraft or Age of Empires). The Overseer is able to buy mercenaries (controllable units with special abilities) and support his team by building restock panels and turrets. The rest of the team consists of troopers who play the game from first person view (like you would in Quake or Unreal Tournament). The controls follow standards of FPS (keyboard for movement and use of abilities and mouse for looking/aiming) and RTS (mouse for issuing commands and keyboard for hotkeys). The title focuses on team play and tight action. Every aspect of the game is designed to be fast paced and reward teamwork. Classes benefit from each other and resources are gathered faster with more people on the same spot. There are also AI controlled units that fight over resource points and attack enemy players. Visuals focus both on attractiveness and visibility. Players should be able to easily distinguish enemy players from their allies and environment (no hiding in the trees like in realistic shooters). This fuels constant action and keeps the battles tight. The aesthetic style draws inspiration from cyberpunk genre, noir films and comics. The feel of the world is dark and tense. The game mechanics are both deep and easily accessible. Our motto is "easy to play, hard to master". Replayability will be further enhanced by unlockable weapons and abilities. If you got this far you have my deep respect. Not sure I would survive this wall of text myself (ok I would but I am still grateful for your time).Did this grab your attention? Would you like to know more and perhaps join the team? Feel free to get in touch! Please provide information about yourself and your previous experience. We are looking forward to your applications. One of the many character concept sheets that is currently being worked on. Some of these will probably be foundation of the final character concepts. A little media update of characters that are currently being finalised. We're on fire right now. Team consists of great members and the game is being coded for a while. We opened new positions too (listed in the first post).

Hi there. Saw your shout out for help over at the Writer's Club group. I often like to role play at being a writer - Cyberpunk, as it happens. I've started a new blog over at alienfiction.com where I'm showcasing some experimental fiction. If you drop me a line, I'll enjoy giving whatever Texts you're working on a quick once over and provide you with some feedback. Some of the remixes & tweaks I've done of other people's writing can be seen at the Writer's Club forum. If you need some ideas for names of Factions or Corps, I've put up some Public Domain logos here at flickr. "Loftleader Industries", "Big Scientist R&D Zaibatsu" (Tech Noir Shadow Hypercorporation), "Happy Micro-S.T.*.R Network" - and even *ahem* "Cockney Voodoo Beaver" are imaginary rival groups I often use in my own stories. Please feel free to use 'em. Good luck with the mod - sounds cool! Sincerely |

Thanks for your interest Henry. We currently have a dedicated writer for the project but people come and go so I'll keep you in mind if we ever need a new one! |
