I'm personally probably going to get a license for this!, even if its just to mess about with for fun, for the price of a pizza its nothing for a tool set that is truly epic!

I love to get hold of it soon but I have no money and currently not got a job. The wait is going to kill. And I can't wait to see what people do with it

I've been working with it for two years now. You've already posted screenshots of stuff I've worked on ;)

i have nothing awesome to really show, unless you count that rabble code (code that i use to figure out what does what)

I'm gonna work on a space station scene with very modular materiality with UE4, and I'll post updates. Can't wait ^^ I really want to try out the new shaders for metal and reflections. From what I've seen they are a lot like MIA materials in Maya. I bought a 99$ UDK license last year and often thought it was premature. But it turns out EPIC gives me free access to UE4 for a while, so the deal was a good one. I'm just waiting for them to validate my account, so I can finally get on with it.

I looked at some of the content in a stream and to my amazement AO still looks shitty ^^
The rest of the lighting looks very good though, and I wonder if the new lightmapper is allowing for custom lightmap import for your maps, this time. Would be awesome to bake different lightmap settings in Maya and try out what works best in UE4. If that isn't possible right away, how probable is it someone can write a custom importer, now that UE4 source is released, too?

This is an incredible development and great news for all of us, who put our faith in UDK in the past. I've learned so much using UDK that I hope the transition to UE4 will be easy. And with these licensing options and features, more companies will start using UE4, and perhaps I'll finally score a decent job doing what I love :)
