that was actually set up pretty quick and ill tell you exactly how i did it.
the reason it was quick is because i used many presets.
i opened the material editor and in the first slot i chose the brazil advanced material
then in the base shader rollout and base shader drop-down menu i chose "car paint"
i set the color i want it to be and set all the other colors and everything till i was satisfied
then in the second slot i put another brazil advanced material but i made the color almost white and set the base shader to "wax"
i added this one to the handles and the other was for the rest of the gun.
for the wood i downloaded a big archetectural material pack from discreet and used the wood i was satisfied with, added a flat mirror in the reflection slot and tweaked up the specular level
then i added a brazil light, didnt change anything on it except turn on shadows.
then rendered it...but the render took forever
fo got ta mention: i also added an environment map of a kitchen
DOH! and i also tweaked the intensity of the brazil light to 2.0
