Hey Everyone,

Lately I've been thinking about a game I've been wanting to make for a few years.
Ever since I saw slamball a few years back, (check this link Youtube.com) I thought it would be awesome to have a game of it.
It basicly is basketball mixed with american football / ice hockey.

I have a few ideas about things like controls, gameplay and I would like to use Unity as the game engine but I never really worked on a game before. I worked on some small game mods and I mostly did 3d modeling. So I was hoping some people are interested in this and would like to help me start this project up.

Greetz,

Wow, I've never heard about this game before. :D That is really cool. Not sure how you'd execute the game tho?

Well the controls would be similar to a normal basketball game.
Normal player movement controls, and controls to pass, shoot and make dribble moves.

When playing offense you would have an additional control to jump, because you would need to jump into a trampoline. Also when you are in the air after jumping up from the trampoline there should be some new controls (not sure if you would have to press a modifier button first).
These "air" controls include controls to make flips, and I really like the idea of using the mouse to control the arms of the player to dodge block attempts from other players.

When playing defense there will be controls for body checking, blocking, stealing the ball, jump (for the trampolines).

These are just some ideas I have for the game controls. The game would lean heavily on a good physics system.
Also every player is skilled differently by having different ratings in attributes like shooting, dunking, jumping, stealing, blocking, etc...

I hope this gives a more detailed description about this game idea.

Anobody any thoughts on this? If it would work.
Any interest at all?

I love the rivalry between the MOB and Rumble.
