Sins of a Galactic Empire download problem Thread

Hello guys,

I a problem when downloading the SOGE mod for sins of a solar empire rebellion. First of i have the 1.82 versions of rebellion so i should be ok regarding that issue. When i download the archive it shows 980 or something Mb. After download (that finishes too quickliy) the file is only 320 Mb and as a result when i extract it to the folder it gives a bunch of crc errors ( i use powerarchiver as a unpacker by the way). I have tried to download it again about 6 times and also from different links, i have tried to run the archiver in administrator mode but to no avail.

I also tried to extract the file with the crc errors and i followed the instructions. When i started the game it showd the mod logo with the ships form the different factions so i am assuming that something worked. However i cannot change the avatar is the player settings (there is nothing there) and when i try to start a new game when i want to select a race it fezzes and errors out with mini dump error. I really want to try out this mod and i do not know what to do please tell me.

Check your Internet settings, see if there is anything blocking it or the download is hanged by some unwanted software.

If the file is 980 but unpacked is 380 that is weird. You should try using 7zip it's the universal unarcheiver and it is the most stable one. ModDB servers are working alright. This looks like a problem with your Internet connection must surely. Try using the Torrent system if available as a last resort or try contacting the SOGE team for download file check.
