Shouldn't the one who adds a game always have control? (Forums : Suggestions : Shouldn't the one who adds a game always have control?) Locked

I'm a newer member to indieDB and recently added a game I'm working on. I'm using Game Maker studio, and thought it made sense to put yoyo games (the ones who developed Game Maker) as the publisher. When the game was authorized, I could no longer edit the game profile. I joined the yoyo games group and still couldn't edit the profile. After some searching around on the forums, I found that this has happened to other people.

So my suggestion is that the one who adds a game should always have control over their game's profile, or there should at least be a warning that you may be resigning control of your game when you submit it to certain groups.

The issue is you joined the dev group for the engine, this revokes access from yourself.

I have also removed yoyo games as the publisher, as this is also the reason you lost access to your profile.

You are the developer and publisher for your own games.
