I have the same problem, just pause the the process and restart your computer then resume it or pause the process and restart desura application, then resume it after each freeze .. but the computer restart works better because the connection drops after 100-150 Mb downloaded . Actually it gets stuck at the last Kb ..i tried restarting the comp and the desura application but still wont download the last Kb 14:04 Failed to download MCF Header from mcf ://us6.dl.desura.com:62003: Failure when receiving data from the peer (ftp ://us6.dl.desura.com:62003/mcf) [response reading failed] [58.56] Edited by: forzelulz |

i've been downloading one thing for the past two days... i keep getting errors every 2-3% and i drops my % down by 1... i love desura because i's easy to get games and mods installed without having to "replace folder with this folder under this folder" crap.. but i really hate having to click retry every minute to get them... i hope this is fixed soon i really do... i'm too lazy to do anything myself hahaha jk Edited by: Ligeia09 |

Confirming the issue still exists (though the game did download 1.3GiB before it started happening continuously: 13:41 Please check you are connected to the internet this is while i'm connected to the internet and chatting on IRC for the last 2 hours, no other changes to anything ISD is TalkTalk in the UK ed: after going through ~5 cycles of "try again" and a bunch of stuff in console it seems to have resumed the download, at a slightly reduced speed (~705 KiB/s compared to ~1100 KiB/s earlier) |

Just confirming this is still a problem. Bought a game and installed Desura a week ago and I've still been unable to play it. The secure.desura.com CD keys section does not allow me to download the game I purchased either. |

Trying to update Desura comes up with "Failed to update Desura: Couldn't connect to server (http://www.desura.com/api/appupdate) [couldn't connect to host] [58.7]". I cannot bring up the website, and Desura is allowed through the firewall. |

This problem seems to be resolved for me in the US. But appartently others in the US, Europe and Australia are still getting this error. I don't know if there are individual servers for every continent/country/portion of a country or what, but mine now seems to be working fine. The only issue I've had since the fix was was with 1 game Oh Wow an RPG Game still in beta (which has been ongoing before and since this problem existed for me), but I can properly download via the Secure link as a standalone .exe. Seems to be something very weird going on seeing as others still have this problem with a lot of other games. Edit. Just to note, the servers I connect to are usually California and Texas. But I live in Pennsylvania (the whole way across the country). So, I'm guessing those are the primary US servers, and work fine for me. Edited by: heathallin |

I still have this issue with OilRush. Every time I try to download it I get MCF download error popup. Other games download without problems. OK, the problem is gone now. Seems like it was still reporting errors because of some old data files, which were downloaded back in the middle of August. I pressed "Uninstall" in the beginning of installation process, before I got that MCF error and then started fresh installation. Downloading now without major problems. Looks like I was too quick to report success. Oil Rush download goes OK until it reaches 70 or 80% and then MCF download error pops up again. Subsequent attempts to install it fail with the same error until I "uninstall" it while the installation process is running, and then I'm able to start downloading from scratch, but only to reach those 70-80%. |

I can confirm that this problem still exists as of today, however it seems it's only with Xenonauts Premium, it download almost everything and then it failed with Internet connection lost. This was not the case, as I downloaded Naev and TripleA from Desura while I was waiting and SPAZ Demo from Steam. |

I'm having a similar. On Moddb itself, not Desura. I'm having the same problem on gamefront, not that it matters here, but whatever. None of my downloads even start. Only Steam and Desura are working. |
