Beyond the Newbie post, everyone who is looking for a placement is in the Hunting position. So I am proposing, that the Hunters become the Hunted.

I am proposing setting up Groups for each field of work under a common acronym. e.g. Available for Sprites, Available for SoundFX, Available for Unity3D, etc.

I would like to know if anybody wants this. We need only setup groups if there are candidates to join and some discussion first might be useful. Also, I wouldn't like to moderate all of them.

Please state in your forum replies or PM's:

1) pro/against

2) Potential Talent/Potential Employer/Dual Potential

3) If applicable, Available for: X,Y,Z

4) Speak your mind

[ e.g. Against - Potential Talent - Available for Textures; blah, blah, my reasons]

What exactly is this post in regard to?

These are general forums of Mod/Indie DB, right here where you posted: Moddb.com

Here are your own forums of your own group: Moddb.com

I apologize feillyne, I hadn't realised there is a Recruiting & Resumes forum. My question was a little more specific as to having a Group you can look up and immediately see that all 10 members, for example, were actively seeking a specific type of work right now. E.g. Available for Character Sprites.

If you think there is no need you can vote that way. If this thread is irrelevant because those groups already exist, how can I ask the moderator to remove it?

Well, there is something else than groups right now - Job board ( Moddb.com ), regarding job ads there, that section is definitely about the employers only, so far. We even started removing any composer's own ads from there as you noticed there is another part of the site dedicated to resumes and job seekers: Moddb.com

Remaking that proper Jobs board would take a great deal of effort however and not even sure if it is on the to-do list of the site founder/developer (INtense) right now, or in any close or even far future.

The job section could use some space for both offers and applications though.

Thx for the feedback feillyne. I already think IndieDB (& network) is awesome. Clap on the back to INtense.
