I'm currently creating my second serious project on Unity (the first one being a small Android game named Ninja Control, with a web player demo available here) and I'm looking for a 2D artist willing to create the sprites and the UI elements.

Game presentation :

Temporary name : Pest Simulator (code name : BugSim)

The game is a pest invasion simulator, in which the player directs a pest colony to contaminate buildings and invade town. Each species try to gain the upper hand, buildings-by-buildings, rooms-by-rooms, etc, but also to avoid human vigilance and traps in order to multiply, evolve and take control of the town. At first, only the humans will be dangerous but after a while each species will have to fight against each other to control buildings as diverse as shabby fast-food restaurants, clinics, high-end restaurants, geek flats, cinema studios, nuclear plant, etc.

The town is divided in districts. Each of those have multiple buildings to invade, and a special one you'll need to control in order to gain the full control of the district. Each buildings will have its own map and is a level on its own.

Four species are scheduled (cockroaches, rats, termites and wasps). Each has 8 unit specializations (Harvester, Strong, Scout, Saboteur, Cleaner, Resistant, Fighter and one specific to each species.). Some of those will be able to open furnitures, sabotage the electric system, disarm traps, attack humans, etc.

Items (furnitures, fridge, etc) can be contaminated in order to extract resources (food, water, building materials, chemicals and radioactives elements). Some have bonus (infinite water, etc.) and/or malus (cold, hot, etc). Chemicals and radioactives elements are used to upgrade and make the units/species evolve.

Humans detect pest based on their sensibility (homeless won't care, phobic will flee, etc) and will set traps when they have detected preset amounts of invasion. A general detection gauge can trigger events (fumigation, sanitary closure, etc).

Anyway, if you want a more detailed view of the game, feel free to ask. Also, nothing is set in stone, those are just a brief, overview of the possibilities.

A web-player prototype is available here (Note : the current look of the game is not reflecting the artistic choice ; they are only temporary assets from RPG Map Share). An executable file for Windows is also available here.

I'm currently the only dev, but two people are also helping for debugging, game design, beta-testing, etc. We need a 2D artist for sprites (furnitures, decors, humans, pest, etc) and the UI of the prototype. As for now, nothing has been chosen concerning the graphic style, but something « cartoon-ish » will probably fit better for the humoristic side of the game.
Right now, the goal is to have a full-prototype including the main game elements before creating the full game. Therefore, if you're interested and willing to help with this project, feel free to send me a mp here or a mail to cmasyndrome@gmail.com !

Please note we are searching for a full collaboration (including other aspects of the game), or at least not a « one-shot » kind of deal : you can work only on sprites and UI, but we'd like you to be available for exchanges (even if it's once a week), etc.

French-speakers are particularly welcome since English is not our first language, but it's not mandatory (other members of the team can act as a translator if needed).
