My mod team has been working on this for awhile now and we need more help to keep it going.

We have a site and forums up at:

we are looking for concept artists and modelers at the moment.

Our mod takes place in the year 2359 when the human race is divided and at war with itself and 2 other alien forces.

Myself and a few other of the mod members have tried to give RF a feel for Covert operations such as trying not to get caught and assassination missions. Also we tried to include a starship troopers kind of feel where your being overwhelmed and you can shoot as many bullets and kill as many as you want, but the just keep coming.

Certain maps will have vehicles. You will be fighting on any type of terrain you can think of. From on board space stations to massive defensive bases. There will be vehicles you can control and call for. Such as Air strikes and Drop Ships for evacuation in some missions.

The mod is mainly cooperative.
You would work in teams of 6 - 10, with up to 2 teams per map, to take on certain objectives against each of the 3 enemy sides you are fighting.

there will be death match maps so you can shoot your friends all you like.

our story line is posted on the site with some concept art for weapons. Some of them need to be redrawn and finished.

Correct me if im wrong, but avp didnt have much coop play in it, it had team deathmatch.... but that was about it? 2359 is unique not random :) and along with the 355 years ( not so random ) i believe it allows technilogical advances, and a more broad style of play.

I have never played AvP2, but im pretty certain our mod idea is nothing like that.

The basic idea of our mod is the force the team to work together. If you go off alone you will get overwhelmed or be out gunned/flanked by the AI.

The majority of our mod is Coop. The way the maps will be set up for coop will be unique. Certain maps will spawn players different ways depending on the map.

Example: In covert op maps you would have to wait till your entire team is dead like in CS, but when your team respawns again so does the map, but it wouldnt be the same as before.

Vehicles will be limited in our mod. We dont want it turning into Halo where people will run you over with jets if they cant shoot you.

Karuto i really dont see how this is anything like Avp2...
considering in our mod all the humans would be working together against AI on coop maps.

There will be a few maps for you to shoot your friends on.

I really haven't seen a good Coop game for HL at all yet.
The best i have come across is Syndicate of Black Ops.

This may sound like a lot of the other ideas out there but if you look at certain details that we want to add into the mod it would be a great game to play.

A few of the unique things i have not seen in another mod:
Places on the map that change once the map has been reloaded.
Forced team play on the coop maps.
vehicles in a coop mod for HL.
A mod that offers both the covert operations and a non-stop action/fire fights.
The battles happen off of earth and over many different planets and star bases.

and as slip trigger said.. its not a random number.
Would a mod make much sense if it had the same technology and enemies if it was the year 2006?

if all this doesnt sound unique please tell me other games for HL that have these features.

On a side note... We are still looking for dedicated good working help with our mod. This help includes concept artists, modelers, animators and designers. We have a few concepts left to be drawn. If you have an expertise or knowledge in any of these fields please let me know via email ( fm_maher@hotmail.com ) or AIM ( Evilacro ) If youve never worked on a mod before thats ok, we will still see what you got, so let us, and the people know! :)
