Hi. I'm starting to make a new mod and I'm in search of modders for player and weapon models. I'm also in search of mappers, coders and texture artists. If you're interested, e-mail me at rpgm2k@hotmail.com. I would need proof of your experience also.
Thanks,
Tolarian, founder of RBW Mod (Rubber Band war)

The mod is about a DM style mod where your guns (which are reproductions of real rubber band throwing guns) actually throw rubber bands. This is a mod based on a game I play with my friends in my free time. If you have comments on this, just post but no negative comments as "This is stupid" or "This sux!"

Well, you can't ask for no negative comments if you want feedback, so I'll say something positive and negative.

First off, it's definitely an original idea. The main problem is that there isn't a terrible amount of room for variation between guns, unless you did something with having completely unrealistic gameplay elements. (such as 'band-time' aka 'bullet time', different kinds of rubber bands like ones that burned stuff, froze enemies in place, etc.)

And I'll say now: If I have to choose between playing with guns, or rubber bands, I'd go with guns.

So basically you want a whole team .. ? You done any work already ? Quick sketches maybe .. bit of coding any thing ?

Doesnt sound a bad idea but i wud likely get very repetetive and boring unless you included some very "special" element to it all ..

This post shouldn't be here. Come back when you aren't looking for an entire team and in the meantime go to the Help Wanted secition.

You don't want us to speak the truth? I'm sorry, but I must. This is poor and sorry attempt at a help request. Read these two threads first before you do anything else:ShortCutMan's Guide to Starting a mod

Well, I make the maps myself but if many mappers participates, there would be a bigger variety of maps. also, I can do all the sounds, sprites and can try doing some coding. Byt the things I really suck at is modelling/skinning.

Well if you can do all those things, how about putting up some examples?Chances are that some work and a more thorough explination of your mod would get people interested.

It's an original idea, and would probaly be alot of fun if it was done well. But needs more info, and perhaps some examples of your work. For info, you need to give us info on: Gamplay, the engine your using, how big of a project it is, and wether or not your truely planning on finishing this. Then you might get some people interested.

Don't mean to sound like a bitch, so if I do, I don't mean it. Just trying to help you understand how to post a good help request.
