I'm George. I'm a math & physics major with some small game development experience, but no prior work with the Source engine. I'm looking for people with real dedication willing to put aside time regularly to work on a mod. I'd like to start by mentioning that this isn't a bullet-time thing. This isn't a kung-fu thing either.
I sketched up a design document here, but everyone's going to read into it differently so if you're interested it's definitely best if we talk first. (Link is the design brief.)
I have some small programming experience (Java mostly) and I'm willing to put aside 2 hours a day to work on this. I can learn mapping and coding, but I have no hand at modelling or skinning. I've tried this kind of art stuff before and it just doesn't work for me. That said, I'm looking for an artist who can do it all. Modeling, skinning, and animating. That said, I'm looking for just about every position except webmaster. (No need to announce this project until there's something to show.)
This idea was designed to be something that can be done in realistic, achievable steps. Still, it's going to take skill and dedication to make. If you're genuinely interested, please contact me. I'd love to Skype, get to know you, get your ideas, and maybe make a mod with you. I want you to teach me. I want to learn what you know so I can contribute equally. I will not sit on the sidelines and be an "idea guy"; that does not work for me.
