Karuto, the reason is that buildings are geometrically rendered, whereas water isn't. Buildings are essentially straight lines, filler color (with shading, obviously), with fairly easy to create detail. Water is organic.. straight lines and filler color won't get you anywhere; every pixel is colored in relation to those in all directions around it, representing the ripples and reflections, and often both, which is really quite mindnumbing.

I have this folder where I put all the cool pictures I find on the internet (no porn...well some stuff that could be considered porn but that is only a few pictures). I don't know if some of these break the forum rules, or how strictly the rules are enforced, so if for any reason a mod doesn't like this post then delete away.

AWW look at these mega bunny rabbits! Apparently they are some large uncommon species. I have another picture somewhere on my computer and it is even cuter!
