Hello,

We are a little team developping a shoot'em up project, and I'd like to add our game on the site to benefit from the help of the community and post some unpaid job offer, but I'm hesitant about the "company" qualifying.

We are just 2, we are working on the game on our free time, but with the objective to sell it one day. We don't have precise deadline, we are working on it "when we can".

Is it acceptable to add a "company" on the site even if we are not a real company, meaning registered as a company in our country or whatever, not just a couple of pationnates who are looking for new teammate and willing to make our game known?

Thanks,

Spidyy

Yes you can register your team as "company". Teams working on mods are also added/defined as "companies" here even though they are not real companies at all.

indiedb.com/company / Companies/developers section lists all dev teams whether they have registered companies or not.
