Project: White - Seeking 3D Artists Thread

Hey,

I'm Mike Newall, lead 3d artist for project:White

Project: White is an Unreal Tournament 3 Mod that focuses on team play. It is set in a star system on the verge of destruction, as its sun is caught up in the throes of a chain of supernovae. The colonies of this system have months till exodus, but which colonies will be included? It is an Unreal Tournament 3 Modification with the express purpose of trying to successfully build out the White universe. The focus of this project is to bring a couple new game types to the Unreal Franchise and at the same time network the team with the rest of the unreal community. Our project’s heart is in multi player interaction over the internet or LAN, but we are going to include some extensions of the AI to allow it to make playing alone more interesting.

With the expansion of our level design team we are now looking to increase the size of our art department. We would need help with both modelling and texturing.
Most of the modelling work consists of props, all of the weapon models are complete but still need texturing. We are looking to rebuild the weapons at a higher resolution further down the line.

Requirements
Intermediate/advanced modelling skills in an application of your choice.

Good UV layout skills

Knowledge of UT3 is a plus but not necessary as we would teach you everything you need to know about getting your assets in game.

Good communication

Must be very committed

Must be able to accurately represent concept art provided by our artists.

Basic texturing skills needed (may change if we get an artist that is dedicated to textures)
