ambershee Nimbusfish Rawks	Statistically speaking, fire tends to be the best starter, as you are less likely to encounter pokemon that are type effective against it. Generally speaking, this is still the case, as many of the Gym and Elite Four / Champions will seldom use pokemon that are type effective and have are more likely to use those that are type vulnerable to fire/fight, which is what many fire starters evolve into.

Icedecknight	I've played and beat several of the pokemon games but they never were my thing.. I was just having fun with the cards. Currently I'm not a fan and I stopped being one pretty much after all the dark pokemon came out like Tyranitar and what not. Whats amazing is I still have all or most of my cards and there all in a giant box, so it would be around 7-8 thousand cards. I played tournaments and won a bunch Sleeves and power packs so that was probably the highlight of my child life. I also played Yugioh, Dragonballz, magic, digimon, and yeah I know WWF. Great times . --

Mobius89 Proud FREDder of the Inferno Team	Haven't got the latest Pokemon games, but have most of the old ones. I really have to admit that, with the years, the series lost originality, and games became more boring and boring. Game developers should definitely come out with better and new ideas. Vcc2cc	@Mobius we're deeply into high graphic capability and I too think that GameFreak (or who ever makes pokemon games now) should take advantage of this and release a Red/Blue game in 3d (not 3d like glasses, 3d as in... you know). There is a pokemon origins mod doing this already so Im happy. But I'd love to see an official pokemon game like that.
