PC Specific(?) slow download speeds? | Locked | |

Howdy! I've recently built a new gaming PC from the ground up. Better in almost every way with the possible exception of taking anywhere from 7 to 12 hours to download mods my older PC had down in maybe an hour? Of the few mods I've allowed to download overnight many of them also suffer from incomplete or damaged files I'd suspect as they don't install properly. Could this be a hard drive issue? I've resorted to downloading mods on my old PC, moving them to an external hard drive, and installing them onto my newer PC but aside from being inefficient and with no gurantee to work I just don't plan on having the old PC always readily available. Any suggestions would be great! *Note, I built the PC, but I'm by no means savvy to the diagnostics and running of one so bear with me thanks for any help or advice you can provide! |

Heh, interesting. I tried one of the European Mirrors, just to try what I could on my own. Back to 7Mbs/second. I can't imagine it being a volume or traffic issue but it is the middle of the night here and I'm reaching across the globe for my download. Strange how my own continent takes half a day to download something that a different one can handle in 15 minutes but I don't see the problem in calling it a solution. Primo, you might try it! |
