Path of Exile modding question Thread

Hi guys!

I don't know much about modding, but I am trying to learn. Also my english is'nt too great so my apologies. So I have been modding some UI elements in Path of Exile which all worked fine. I used a .dds to .png converter, edited the image with photoshop and then converted it back to .dds, switched the files and all went well. But now I have come to a point where I am absolutely stuck.
I am trying to edit the model of my character by changing this image with green shades (like nose structure etc is visible on this). It is also a .dds file. So what I do is convert it to .png and it still keeps the transparacy. Then I edit it with photoshop (transparacy still ok), next I save it as png. At this point the initial image and the changed image look identical (except for the changes I made of course), colors are the same, transparacy seems ok. But when I replace the .dds file in the game directory (I use visual GGPK) the preview of my replaced file shows a much darker image with lots of black spots all over it (like the brightness would be turned down to a minimum). Also some other textures I changed showed somewhat differently in the visual GGPK preview tool. I really hope someone can help me out with this issue.
