We're working on a fresh build of our Orange Box mod straight out of the SDK, and I'm having a pretty hard time figuring out how to change the chapter names that show up on the chapter select screen. It seems like it would be pretty simple but all of the tutorials I've read haven't given me a way that actually works.I've edited the "hl2_english.txt" file, and the "titles.txt" files, among others but to no avail. Any ideas? Thanks in advance guys. I know this is going to be something super obvious. Edited by: m4x0r |

Thanks...I think...if that wasn't being sarcastic. But as I said I've tried everything listed on the page and it's still not working. I was wondering if there's anything else anyone here, who have experience with singleplayer mods, has realized had to be done considering the dev wiki is known to not be updated with orange box changes often. |

Pretty sure following that page worked fine when we were working on chapters for NightFall... |

I promise you it's not, haha. I'll keep trying I suppose but man is this annoying. Each chapter says "#ep2_Chapter1_Title" (respectively) and "DEVELOPER COMMENTARY" underneath, regardless of how many times I try to change those settings. Nevermind, it just decided to start working...thanks anyway. |

Well, I redid the Valve tutorial a few times, checked my spelling, and made sure everything was named properly, and I must have missed some mundane detail and fixed it in the process. Moral of the story? If it doesn't work, try it again? |

...thanks. Reading the rest of the thread would have helped you realize the problem had nothing to do with that however. And it's been solved. But...thanks anyway. |
