OK this mod will be powered by HL2 and will be an online multi player mod based around ww2, Im getting the team together now so we can all know each other when we start working.

I need :

Modelers - These people will be responsible for creating the models for the weapons and the charactors.

Programmers - I need people who can actually do teh code behind the ideas

Sound - Will creat sound effects and music for the game

Mappers - We have one mapper but one mapper for all the maps we have planned just isnt enough

Skinners - Need to pay good attention to detail.

anyway enuff recruiting heres some info:

The story:

On 17 September 1944 thousands of paratroopers descended from the sky by parachute or glider up to 150 km
behind enemy lines. Their goal: to secure to bridges across the rivers in Holland so that the Allied army
could advance rapidly northwards and turn right into the lowlands of Germany, hereby skirting around the
Siegfried line, the German defence line. If all carried out as planned it should have ended the war by
Christmas 1944.

The game:

The game itself will be an online multi player game, the amount of players will be decided by the host on
each server, There will be 2 teams, allies and axis, The allied team will try and take control of various key
bridges and towns, and the axis will try and prevent them fro doing so

The maps will represent several key parts of the market garden operation aswell as some that we have added ouurselvs
the maps will have a set rotation, when a map is won the server will then take that as one win for the allies or axis
depending on who won and then go on to the next map depending on who won, for example if allies won the first map they
would move on to the next key battle but if they lost they would have to try a different route to there next objective.

How a map is won

The map is considered won when all the opposing team have been killed, to do this the team must kill each of the opposition
5 times then the map is won

After the map is won what happens:

when a map has been won the level will change depending on who wins the map, This is to give the game a more realistic
feel, because during the war if a team lost a town they would have to try get it back or if the failed to advance they
would have to try again or try a differedn route. whena ll the maps have been played the server will display the campagne winner,
this is decided by who has won the most maps.

Dont just make it kill the other team, make it have possesion of an area, call in air strike, plant bomb, or youll get campesr and the round will never end.

We currently have:

1 Proggramer (6 years experiance) cant dedicate all his tiem thought
2 Mappers (Combned 3 or 4 years experiance)
2 Graphic Designers/Web designers/PR (6 years experiance each)

We still need

Skinners x 1 or 2
Modelers x 2
Programers x 1 or 2
Mappers x 1
Sound Effects x 1

All MUST be highly skilled and pay good attention to detail

i think 5 lives is a bit extreme.. perhaps make it somethin like bf42, and where if there are 5 "objects" objects being like control points, bridges, or whatev, that you have respawn points up to there... and the team that controls all of the respawn places wins, because the other team obviously cant spawn back in
