Even like a regular commercial studio using the royalty-free samples and making new sounds out of them it wouldn't really comply with the GPL license. This why Abuse (frAbs in particular) is not distributed with any sounds. -- < insert subject games here >

GPL does not prohibit to 'copy' and 'modify' something but it simply requires you to carry the GPL sticker as well. if the used samples are free-to-use they ARE free to use. no legal problems, nothing. EDIT: furthermore GPL is not meant to be applied to artistic material in the first play. FA is meant for this and this licence allows/encurages exactly what ( most probably, not sure about this one ) foxdf did so nothing wrong there. TheHappyFriar :)	i got this (again) today @ 3am. Very nice. The only complaint I have is that the color in the levels I played seemed pretty bland compared to Q3A stock level colors. leilei The person who doesn't like anything	New version 0.7.6 is released, it's on the front page etc. The headline sucks though (i mean the whole boobs guns furries thing. it was funny, the first time but now it's dumb and misrepresentative, as if it were intended to scare away people from downloading it, treating it like a Big Rigs-like atrocity that no one should play. Personal opinions are something that you cannot change, if your game is set to a target audience, i believe your aiming for the twitch shooters? (And some people dont like killing games) they would not download it. So why are you getting upset over a comment about your game which yourself stated was infact true? Does your game include women dressed in cat costumes commonly noted as furrys, shooting each other with guns and happen to have breasts which are more the obvious? Its like someone calling myself an Aussie and me getting mad at them. If you dont want your game to be known as "that" game, why include the media in question? Edited by: Henley
