One question about pictures in news Thread

Hey,

I want to post a news with some screen shots but I don't want them to be in the gallery of the game's profile because I have already chosen the best one for the gallery and I couldn't find a way to change their orders.

I know the trick where when you update a media with a new picture the system keeps the old one in cache, so you can actually upload multiples pictures by only using one media. However on the last news I posted, after being being approved it had its screen shots linked to the gallery !

So I wanted to know if basically it was all right for a news to have its screen shots not on the gallery of the profile, but only on the news itself ?

If your image links were to ever die, your news would be blank, Its better you use the gallery were possible however you can use images hosted elsewhere. Or the media repo for things like logos and headers..

Oh okay because I have some quite old news like this one which I removed all pictures from the gallery and they are still displaying fine ! Thanks about the media repo, I didn't know about it.
