I'm using Microsoft Visual C++ 2005, and I'm wondering if it's possible to omit sections of code from searches, it would REALLY help a lot for me, as a person attempting to learn how to code. Uh, if not, does anyone know of a program that CAN omit sections of code from the search feature? It doesn't even have to be able to compile the HL2 code, it just has to be able to open it... Thanks for any help! |

What are you trying to do? If you're searching through code, you REALLY should be using a program like Windows Grep anyway |

I am trying to search for occurances of a line of code in the source code for HL2, but there are times when it searches through a number of .cpp or .h files that I've already been though, highlighting each occurace in those. I was trying to get the search function to bypass highlighting those. Windows Grep looks like it will work, thanks for the link! I've never even heard of this before... |
