What the hell is herp de derp? Obviously it's not obscure, but i have no idea what it is, and the origin. Whenever people say this, i imagine them masterbating to that post or something... I hope that's incorrect.

I'd guess it's from South Park.  There was an episode which introduced an advert "from the makers of 'Derp!' and 'Tum-tee-teedly-tum-de-derp!' comes 'De Derp de Derp De Derp De teedly Tom' ".

It's not really a meme, just a phrase used when someone says something blatantly obvious, or something everyone already knows, has been mentioned.

Yeah, i thought that, but usually memes don't come from TV shows, usually when they get to TV shows they just die out.
