Hi all! Heh, alright, well, first off, you can check out the mod's profile here:

Moddb.com

But if you don't want to do that, here's an outline of the story:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The campaign/mod takes place 200 years in the future. After the discovery of Breakdown one hundred years from now, humanity spread like wildfire throughout space, conquering, defeating, chiding, and cheating each other, to be the first to establish a galactic empire. Fifty years later, the Earth still has many, if not most, of the countries intact. However, in space, it is a much different story. Three, and only three, countries have the power and the territory to be called Space Powers. These countries are China, the United States, and the European Union. (The UN is also still intact, as well, however, it doesn't have it's own territory). The three coexist much as they do today, in a pretty easy peace.
So, another fifty years goes by. The US makes rapid advancements in technology, using new materials gained by exploring the vast reaches of space, bounding in leaps and bounds in front of the other two countries. However, the EU is closing in on them, as they examine, find, and even downright steal other technologies and materials.
China is on the trailing end of the pack, still using technology circa 50-70 years old, and they don't show any signs of progress.
The US launches a highly-advanced capital ship, the Pontomac using experimental technology. The ship is assigned to research the crab nebulae, however, after about 5 weeks of exploration, it is lost to a violent nebulaic (is that a word?) storm.
An exploration is launched, however, no trace is found. The ship is assumed to have been vaporized, and the case is closed.
A year passes. More technological progress is made within the EU and the US. China, however, shows no signs of any progress. But it is easy to tell that they're hiding something.

Another year passes, and China suddenly bursts onto the scene with some very big news: for the past two years, they have been building the most advanced starship ever constructed. The statistics are amazing, 5 miles long, 2 wide, 20,000 crew members, a fully-equipped science station, 6 heavy ion beams, and numerous smaller turrets. China says that construction is expected to be completed within another year, which is quite fast for a ship of it's size. However, China refuses to say where the ship is being constructed, until the final moment, when the ship is finally undocked from port, amongst much fanfare.
The US and the EU are obviously perplexed by this apparant quantum leap in technology. However, the publicly released blueprints show nothing out of the ordinary.
When the EU and the US start to press, China announces that it will sell the techonology to anyone who wants it. This effectively shuts the EU up, as they get a great source of top-of-the-line equipment, for bargain bin prices.

However, the US refuses. They go back to examining the documents. Something seems strange....some of the subsystems have been moved, altered, or even removed. They begin to conduct further investigations.......

Ok, wow, so you read all that? Lol, well, I'll give you an outline of the gameplay and how it differs from regular Freespace 2.
First off, it's much faster, and much more intense. Thanks to the efforts of the SCP, it's possible to implement limited primary weapons. This means that all you guys out there get to play with machine guns and cannons :) While they are much more powerful than a standard FS2 weapon (about 40 hits can take down a medium fighter), the trade-off is that they are, of course, limited, and you don't get a support ship to rearm yourself. This puts a lot of pressure on gunnery and actual piloting ability.
And that brigns me to my next point. Now, instead of being limited to forward movement, all directions are available to you. You can go up, down, left, right, and even backwards. Interesting, no?

Alright, so enough showing off what I've done, how about whatt I need help to do? Well, while I can model, table (put the ships in-game and adjust their stats) create missions, and do basic effects work, I'd really, really like some help. I need someone to texture and someone to compose music. Would anybody here be willing to help? I'm a pretty easy guy to work with, I think. I'm not "omg!!!111 I have teh supr kool ideaa!!!!!11 hlp me plz!!!!" and I'm not gonna bug you to work your ass off every day. Heh, I just want someone to do those two things for me. The models I need textured are already created (there's about 3 or 4 of them for now), and the music, well, I only need about 3 or 4 battle tracks (spanning 30 seconds to 1 minute each) and one long ambience track (about 2 minutes long or longer if possible).

Thanks for any assistance that any of you can provide! :)

I haven't seen one like it so far. Perhaps you'd like to point it out? The storyline's different, the gameplay's different, and the general feel is different than any space game I've played (and I've played them all, from the original Star Wars games to Freespace to Starshatter)

And sorry, it's for Freespace 2, not Homeworld 2. ;)

No, I mean the story seems to cliche. It sounds fun, but the whole "In the future and there's a bunch of factions and they are in space" just seems bleh to me. I do like how you at least made it somewhat original :D

Hehe, thanks about somewhat original bit :) The entire game isn't actually about some super-war, it's actually mostly about the Tsi-Yuen. *Spoiler, but this is all found out in the 1st and 2nd missions* It was actually stolen from the United States, and 80% of the game is about the player and his team trying to get it back. There's no actual war in this game, it's more espionage :)
