nolinks arg to stop desura from creating menu links Thread

Hi,

I am moving a lot and use Desura on multiple system, i have my own menu on my drive that i manage my self. It would be nice to be able to stop Desura to stop adding menu links on every system i use it.

A simple --nolink arg seams like a nice addition to Desura

This will be fixed next build. What you need to do is create two files in the Desura root folder:

.ignore_shortcut
.ignore_force_shortcut

And desura will not add shortcuts to the main menu. The disable force shortcut can be enabled in settings as well.
