Hi everybody,

Well with Half Life 2 not too far away (we all hope) a few friends and I have decided to jump on the bandwagon and head into modding. Now we haven't been able to come up with anything better, those of you who are really into the movies already know what our theme is via our working title; in deed it is to be based on the Terminator series - not just the trilogy but the books, comics etc. also.

Now we've got the start of a team going but still need more in order for this to fly. Only seen one Terminator themed mod so far and it's for Q3 and only multiplayer. We're not only looking to do a team-based/co-op and objective multiplayer mod but also a storylined single player mod also. With seeing and reading what can be done with the SOURCE engine we'd love to do this mod, BUT need your support for it to get off the ground and for SkyNet to become self aware once more.

So far in small discussions we've been working out what sorts of stuff and features we would like to include but still need a few more people to have them implimented. By the end of the week we should ahve a small list, but still a list, of what features we're going to include if enough support is shown. Don't want to throw in too much of our heart and soul if the support can't be found.

However we do have the start of what could be our story beginning:

"The year is 2027, the war against SkyNet has been raging on for almost 23 years now. The human resistance has been fighting long and hard, but some ... many are thinking it's all for nothing. The war hasn't moved in our favour yet, hell, in fact it's only continued to get worse. SkyNet has begun to introduce some sort of newer machine, mimicing the skeleton of humans - more advanced than their earlier bipeds. This new ... endoskeleton can only be the dawn for something much more terrible to come." - A lone soldier (narrator)

Possible plot is to have the story start with the introduction of the T-600 and T-800. Then jump forward in the timeline to different points or the war. Hell some suggests have been to have episodes go backwards after tasting the bitter future - maybe not as far back as tot he setting of the movies; but who knows.

The team currently includes:

1 or 2 concept artist(s)
1 music mixer
1 sound fx mixer
2 mappers (1 more fluent in Q3 and JK2 mapping)
1 modeller (moderately skilled .... bites)
3 story writers and theorists
2 coders (1 just getting into C+)
2 graphic artists (skinners, texture artists)
1 animator (moderately skilled)

As it stands most of these are double shifts. From this you can see what type of personnel we are in need of. But more in depth we need:

Maybe 1 or 2 more concept artists, probably 1 more sfx mixer, 2 more mappers, 2 or 3 more good modellers, at least 2 more coders and possibly 3 more animators as well as graphic artists.
