En.wikipedia.org

Here are the system requirements

My system:

Vista 32 bit SP2
Intel 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4 Ghz
8600 GT 512 Mb
4Gb RAM
Pixel Shader 3.0 (OK)
DX9.0c (YES)

Sometimes the car is partially visible while the rest of the screen isĀ  black. I can browse menus etc. Even the car in the menu is partially covered with black... What the hell is wrong?

I even tried running under 98/ME mode like google says

Any fixes?

Update your graphic drivers.

Yeah thats probably going to be your best move (try this driver), you may also want to run a driver cleaner before you install your new drivers

Is that a good driver?

I solved the issue. I dissabled nHancer. Apparently that was causing the black screen.

Now I still have stuttering in game small stuttering. I don't know what is causing that.

I will try the driver. But I don't like betas very much.

Uninstall your drivers and then run a driver cleaner program in safe mode (this one works fine here). Then install new drivers. That should definately get rid of your stuttering.
I had been using 186.18 for awhile on my GTX 295 and they worked fairly well, with a few exceptions-- mirrors edge kept having bugged textures, men of war ran slower than it should, SLi would not enable in Monkey Island (which actually wasn't really a problem because it ran fine on one GPU), etc. a couple of days ago I updated to those drivers in the link (although the 64-bit version) and its much improved for me. Mirrors Edge works normally again, SLi works in every game, framerates are better too (men of war, grid, source games). But it really depends, just because these drivers are great for me, it doesn't necessarily mean they will work as good for you. Shop around driver wise to see which ones are good for you but this one is a good place to start. Don't be scared just because they are beta drivers, most of the better drivers that I've used on the several nvidia cards I've had over the last several years were betas.

Yeah, I can confirm that NVidia's public beta drivers are pretty final - before they make them public beta, they go through a pretty heavy private beta first - they're no where near as untested as you'd think with a 'beta' label on them.

Well lately Nvidia seems to be in some trouble. I read that ATI is gaining a place on top of Nvidia. Too bad... I still think Nvidia is better since their 295 GTX. Although they should be cheaper
