Hey I'm Degor, I'm a huge fan of modding. I'm currently learning to code with c++ at school. I'd like to make a mod one day. Please check out my mod concept here.

Hello I'm new to the forums but I've been hanging around for about six months without an account reading the modification tutorials for half life 2. I love half life 2 and I think thats my favorite game, after that is the original half life. I'm an aspiring c++ coder and was hoping to start a career by having a few mods to put on my resume, but I'm still learning how to do this stuff. Like I said, I'm learning c++ and I'm also learning how to model with the softimage mod tool. Having tried other 3d modeling software, free and commercial free trials, i fond softimage to be the best in my opinion, it's a good balance of power and simplicity, i just hope that knowing that particular 3d software will help get me a job somewhere.Glad to be here :D

The stratosphere is the second major layer of Earth's atmosphere, just above the troposphere, and below the mesosphere. It is stratified in temperature, with warmer layers higher up and cooler layers farther down. This is in contrast to the troposphere near the Earth's surface, which is cooler higher up and warmer farther down.  The stratosphere is situated between about 10 km (6 miles) and 50 km (31 miles) altitude above the surface at moderate latitudes, while at the poles it starts at about 8 km (5 miles) altitude.

Hey guys,

I'm Eddie and I'm currently a game designer and graphic artist working for Sim Ops Studios.  I joined the community hoping to connect with indie game developers and aspiring game developers of all skill levels to solicit your feedback, ideas, and advice.  I am especially hoping to meet some really new game developers who are just getting starting making games!  Im not working on a game directly, Im actually involved with a project that is meant to make it easier to for indie developers to make great games – but the key to this whole process is working with indies the whole way to ensure we are on the right track!!  So, for anyone in the community who is open to helping out, sharing your thoughts on development, playing around with new products, and just giving advice/feedback in general – Im hoping to connect with you.

A little more for those of you who might be interested - The project is a free platform called Wildpockets that is designed to simplify the process of building 3D browser-based games, distributing your games and (ideally) making a living while doing it!  It is very much a work in progress and some of the newest developments that are underway are directly geared towards the new game developer who is trying to get started building their first game.

If you're interested, please send me a PM.  I
m excited to see what everyone is up to in this community and looking forward to getting more involved.

Hey dudes and dudettes,

I'm Josh Hayward and I am an audio engineer with a recording arts degree and am very determined to work in the gaming industry putting my skills to work. I mostly play PC games, generally RPGs and I love good ol' SNES/N64/PS/PS2 games. I am currently engineering the second album of my career which is sounding great already. I can also do ADR/Foley (have a large sound effects library as well).

I also play some guitar and am interested in UFOs/aliens and paranormal activity. Anime is my favorite TV genre along with horror/comedy and action films.

Creative writing is also another skill I have, I can write dialogue, stories create characters and do PR/business things as I am a big business buff. Other than that, I am a pretty awesome guy. :ninja:

heyy all im spencer decosta from california been gaming ever since my dad pulled out the old atari 2600 and i've been playing pc games for about a 2 years im 19 now. i started because my 360 broke. Its kind of stupid but the best buy i bought my laptop from didn't list it as a gaming pc even if it had a graphix card and the manufacturer notes said it did. so i looked around and tried combat arms holy crap it worked! tried every free fps mainstream thing i could find after.then i got steam and counter strike and since i've tried zombie panic i've search the cosmos for anything else i could find and im pretty sure i've tried 80 % of the mods that would work for jsut css and im really glad that this kind of thing exsits.

im waiting for Orion which jsut got delayed three days ];   , for hire, raindrop, and a whole slew of other mods

also if you guys want to try a amazing absolutely great mod that is free try out true combat elite. its a mod for wolfenstien enemy territory and its funny cause i hate w:et but true combat will always be a gem in my list so try it out works on windows mac and linux, its not pretty by today standards but its gameplay is tp notch fun. note if on vista use xp compatability server pack 2 and run as admin

 download here Truecombatelite.com

also play neotokyo, everyone needs to play neotokyo ;P

anyway lastly i'd like to make a mod even a remake of true combat would be like a dream. trying out hammer i can see itll take time and thats jsut maps i can't imagine codeing models renders jeez i have new respect for the community seeing how its a actually done.

so yah heyy and happy modding!
