Imagine a goth frankenstein inspired world where in a city there exists an arena where the world's leading scientists and madmen gather so show off their newest creations, the patchwork cadavers. They would have them battle each other one on one to see who is the best of the best they would even bet "parts" in matches with the winning cadaver having to rip the loser's part off.

In the game each frankenstitcher (Player) starts off with a standard patchwork cadaver consisting of the same parts with each victory you can rip off one of the opposing cadaver's parts like an arm leg head or even torso. Each part has its own stats and abilities so depending on what parts you have on your cadaver that will influence its abilities.

Battles will be similar to the pokemon games, one on one turn based where you choose which ability to use and use items to recharge your cadaver's battery or strengthen it. A cadaver doesn't have health because it isn't alive it has energy powering it's main battery and once that runs out the opposing cadaver can claim a part of its choosing simply by ripping or punching it off (in the torso's case).

I am currently working on the standard cadaver's model and will showcase the completed model here but for now a work in progress.

I am hoping to form a team in order to bring this project and many others to life, all I can do is model and I will be getting into unity soon so modeling and level design however I still need to get a team together to make up for what I lack, hope I garner some interest!

So like a turn based version of Metabots except with living creatures instead of machines. But why make it turn based, your description almost made it side like a 2D fighter.
