Hey!

Things are getting slow, so I figured I'd ask you guys for suggestions on what I should play next for my YouTube channel:

www.youtube.com/johnyliltoe

I more-or-less have a focus on indie games (hence here I am) though I don't mind the idea of picking up a few major titles if they're in my game library (rather large, so who knows...)

Especially love working with developers looking for publicity and/or someone to playtest their game.

If you're a developer feel free to contact me directly!

If you just want to see a specific game let me know and I'll try to track down the developer to get their permission for the video(s).

I'm a small channel at the moment, so anyone willing to help spread the word, subscribe, watch my videos or just leave a kind and/or constructive word would be loved!

I don't know if you're restricted to only indie games but I highly recommend you play the 3 S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Games, Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light by THQ, Theyre great games, if you haven't played them yet you probably really should, unless you're not really into the genre but okay, your choice. This is my suggestion, just see what you do with it. ^^

I've heard iffy things about Metro 2033, mostly along the lines of "you only like it for nostalgia", but those games are on my list of things to look into. I do enjoy atmospheric horror like that.

Unfortunately none of them are in my collection and I'm effectively broke, but quite possibly games I'll be looking into in the future when I can afford things again.

Alright, Metro 2033 is very well known to have fans that speak too highly of the game, It's an amazing game with a great story and atmospheric gameplay but people tend to overdo it alot.

Stalker however is amazing in it's own unique way, you just have to like those kind of games to like Stalker I guess.
Stalker is very cheap though i think in some stores, slash on steam so you don't have to worry too much about the price.

Also correct me if im wrong but I think you can get Metro 2033 for free on THQ's website, I'm not sure if this was a temporarily thing but you can Always check it out, Last Light however is pretty expensive still. (But that's pretty obvious since it's just been released)

I would be honoured if you'd cover our 2D hand drawn action platformer. You can learn more about the game on www.lumenoxgames.com and get the demo on Lumenoxgames.com

I put in some screens here. We also have a trailer on:
Youtube.com

As to your criteria for indie developers looking for publicity, we definitely fit the bill. We'd probably end up sharing the video on facebook so it would be beneficial for us both :)

So what do you think ?

Apparently I missed the ball for a free Metro 2033, was only free for a couple months last December it seems. Most of the series runs around $20 though, so shouldn't be too long before that's affordable again... just need a job! Or for a miracle hit video on my channel :D Either way, looking into them more they're definitely going on my must-do list!

I think that Aarus Awakening is exactly the type of game I love to cover! I love the style and the gameplay looks enjoyable. I'll message you to confirm (I like to keep things organized in my message box in case I'm asked for usage rights by YouTube)

Aarus Awakening is done!

Now for something else...

Thanks! I hope to eventually gain enough popularity to be a larger audience to the more experimental side of indie games. There are plenty of LPers that do Horror and the occasional silly game, but I see very few that support more artistic games like Aarus Awakening.
