Need help with a Starwars FOC Mod Thread

Yes I'm posting this here too, because there actually seems to be some people in here.
've been tinkering with the XML files of a mod for a few hours now, mainly trying to give the Rebellion a regular Imperial Mk1 Star Destroyer. I haven't yet succeeded, and I'm wondering what exactly I have to do to get it to work. I made a copy of the XML file in question, made sure all the directories matched up properly, and gave it it's own text file. Still nothing. Changed the "Affiliation", and the "Political Faction". Nothing. Played with the tech levels, and required planets.
anyone care to tell me what I'm missing here?
