Hello everyone
I need help with getting a name for my game company, it is really hard to make up one.
My company right now is working on a really big horror project, so the name should sound serious, we are all professionals, above the indie level.
We are not going to develop ONLY horror games, a future project of ours is a first person shooter game, set in present days.
The horror game is also first person, high quallity graphics (For graphics reference: Outlast 2).
I really need some help with getting a name, the name is the selling point to a company, so it should be a good one.

Best Regards,
Chris

You're right to say that a studio name is a big deal. Branding is incredibly important.

Which is why I couldn't possibly give you suggestions - it ultimately needs to come from yourselves!

However, I love coming up with names, so here's a few tips to maybe get the juices flowing:

- Use a random word generator to smash stuff together. You won't get anything meaningful by itself, but if might ignite some inspiration in you (http://www.textfixer.com/tools/random-words.php)

- Think about some properties as developers or a studio collective that makes you stand out. Think of synonyms to those words and fitting adjectives

- Consider what you each value more than anything in the world. Something precious from each of you. How can they blend together?

- If all else fails, take the first letter of each of your name and call it a day ;)

Let us know how it goes!

Hey man, thanks.
I have been thinking this for so long, even the other people from the team cant get a name.

So i will be really glad if you could help us with the name. If you need to ask questions, just ask.

What's in a name...

I know it's incredibly old-fashioned, but you could just use the last names of the founder & co-founder

"Johnson & Smith"
