my sound sucks! HELP MEH!!!! Thread

ok well here is the thing, i go to school today, my brother doesn't go, then i come back and he tells me that the sound is fucked up, dumbass, he stayed one morning and teh comp is fucked, but i don't think its his fault well the problem is that the sounds make an echo, and its horrible, well i don't know what else to say, any ideas?

i have sound problems too in all the tom clancy games when i enter a building the sound screeches and it hurts your ears so badly, and in operation flashpoint and battlefield 1942 it sounds like someones tearing paper that hurts your ears too, but as for your sound problems i havent got a clue mayby update the drivers for the sound card or reinstall them.

well this happens when i listen to music mostly but i still can't find the reason why...

You don't have a Soundblaster do you? Your brother wasn't messing around with the environmental audio?

OMG I HAD THAT PROBLEM ON MY DADS LAPTOP

its horrible.. the sound echo's for everything you do, espicially listening to music its horrible... i spent 2 hours with one dude on the net trying to get it sorted in a help chat room... christ we tryed so many things and got know where... i tink its still lke that ...i dont know how to help you

Set EAX environment to "Disable EAX" after playing.

Try turning down the SW Synth and the wave in the Volume Controle

i tryed everything like that! but it doesnt matter now, since im not aloud the laptop anymore
