Modtool wouldn't be the best thing to render an asset in due to the watermark. Especially since it looks like it is just a phong material with nothing going on in the background / lighting.

alright, what would you recommend to render with (and did you like the model)

If you made it in Blender, might as well render it in Blender.

The model doesn't look bad, but it can be hard to make out some areas due to the size and lighting. Wireframes might also be useful.

alright, i'll put some wire frames but the problem i have with rendering in blender is that it is still boxy, when i expotr it to xsi it is smooth. (and i'll put some wireframes on now)

alright here are the wireframe (not really wireframe but i thought in this view it would be easier to see the details)

This is probably the first time on Moddb I've seen someone model a musket. I like the model but as you said it don't seem smooth.

Can you tell me doctor why I still can't get to sleep?
The night time's just a jungle dark and a barking M16.
What's this rash that comes and goes can you tell me what it means?
God help me, I was only 19.

What is it a brown bess?? Really good work...

If it was perhaps a later model, i'll tell you to go see the states at war mod team, but i think that this is a little before their time!!
