Mods for Battlefield Vietnam Thread

How do make bf:vietnam mods. I've just got the game and interested in making one. Can anyone help!

It's hell of a lot more complicated than that, my friend. You're going to need plenty of help, a lot of dedication, and lots of knowledge on the subject you're going for. Depending on the extension of the mod (and I'll consider this to be a total-conversion from the original game), you'll need new coding, models, textures, skins, maps, animations, sounds, etc.

Here's a pretty good site that'll cover a lot of what you may need in order to modify the game's source code to your liking. Just understand, this can be a very difficult project to undertake, and it's not as simple as pointing and clicking some objects to make your mod.

Wrong, a MOD *CAN* be easy to make.

Something as simple as changing a weapon skin, or stats of a vehicle. But something along the lines of a total conversion mod will be a major venture

That's why I said I was considering what he was asking to be his attempt at making a total-conversion for the game Battlefield Vietnam. Otherwise, yes, obviously it would be a small ammount of work to tweak the game.

Thanks guys i've just wanted to see how people make mods as it looks pretty difficult. I could just start tweaking up the game and i study on more detail on how to make a total conversion. Thank you guys for posting.
