Hmm, not sure which engine it uses or which editor you could use (if there's such an editor, that is). The only thing you could do is track down the games the developing company has created, then find the engine they use and finally search if there's an editor you can use for this engine. There's a big change 'The Devil Inside' uses the same engine as them. From a quick search I did, the developing company (Cryo Interactive) did some Point and Click games and (at least until 1992) used the Cryo's Omni3D engine. I wish you the best of luck with your search -- Creator of the Half Life 1 mod Deflections. |

@Thanoshld Maybe someone is familiar with GTZ-Files which seem to be levels and stuff? Ok, now i found out that the game was developed by "gamesquad" and in an article about a later game (From dusk till dawn) it is mentioned that they used an updated version of the devil inside engine called GEO engine. |

You can always try to sent the creating company (if it's still around) a pm, or you can ask around in a 3D Third Person Shooter forum if someone knows something about it. Also, if you have the experience, you could convert some of the game's files to use in another engine and start moding the game this way. But it would require a lot of work. You could try a free editor like Torque 3D Garagegames.com or Ogre Ogre3d.org, but I doubt that they open such files or help you, at least in a simple way. -- Creator of the Half Life 1 mod Deflections. |

Should anyone ever wander into this thread looking for an answer as I did a few hours ago. There is a tool for extracting GTZ files that you can find here Sites.google.com It's called GTZPack, it allows you to unpack and pack .gtz files. Edited by: Svarog246 |
