modDB control v2 STYLE Thread

For me one of the biggest problems that has faced the mod database, is keeping the tons of data added up to date. Just ask any admin who has bothered to auth the news, it takes time, to clean up news posts.. and ensure only quality ones end up on the main modDB page...

now lets think about the mod listing... and imagine how difficult it is to maintain, as the news system is insignificant in comparison... There really are 2 ways in my eyes to remedy this problem and modDB v2 will be implementing both of them.

The first and most obvious is to add more staff members with specific roles such as maintaining the mod listing...

However the second, is a little different and that is changing the current mod / user / admin control panel systems... you see at present, I reckon they are pretty confusing and you have to follow 50 links just to do something. This has all changed in v2, as i have rolled the control panels into one powerful unit... its still a work in progress but as you can see from this picture.. its alot simplier and hopefully since the control panel is easier to follow, people will be more inclined to update their mod for example..

you will be getting access don't worry.. i've just gotta somehow work out how to code in a frontend so you can modify them
