I thout about adding a soundtrack to a mod, music for the menu and ingame and i would like to use public songs from bands or various artists. People should be able to download the soundtrack from the internet for free.
If i use original mp3/audio songs i may get trouble with the copyrights, but what about if i do a "radio mix" or "mix" of them?
Does anyone know about this, or how i can get the music legal integrated in the mod?

look up creative commons. Many musicians there have free (as in creative-commons license) music.

If you really want to do it, just contact the author(s) of the songs and ask for their permission.

Then until the copyright has been ended (99 years to the date it was first copyrighted) there's really nothing you can do unless someone else was suppose to pick it up.Whatever you do with public music by professional artists all depends on their response to a written or verbal request.Even if you say "remix" or whatever, whatever is from the "original" that is in the remix itself is still copyrighted material.
